How is my CO₂ savings calculated?
Each open tab consumes approximately 35g of CO₂ per hour due to server and network energy use. When you close tabs, we calculate the energy you saved based on how long you usually keep them open.
Is the leaderboard updated in real time?
Yes. Your stats are tracked in real time, and you may refresh rankings at any time.
Can I use GreenTabs on mobile?
Currently, GreenTabs is available as a Chrome extension for desktop browsers. Mobile support is on our roadmap as browser extensions become available on mobile platforms.
Will this slow down my browser?
No. GreenTabs is lightweight and uses minimal resources. We only gather essential metrics and run efficiently without impacting browser performance.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account anytime. File a request at contact@greentabs.xyz and all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 10 business days.
